tripodlamp e1332799091687 Found on ebay Bauhaus Machine Age Bakelite Tripod Lamp

We see a lot of imitations of this kind of tripod floor lamp on the internet. But this Bauhaus late machine age lamp is the real deal. built to last.

According to the listing, this Bakelite and chrome tripod lamp was made in 1940′s Germany, and is fairly rare. So I would say it’s going to go up quite a bit from it’s $39.00 listing price. But how do you put a price on something that is so very cool.

Ferrari Scuderia One Watch

Ferrari watch 1 Ferrari Scuderia One Watch

The Ferrari Scuderia One Watch is what you would call a status symbol. Not only a status symbol, but a status symbol that is practically impossible to get. Only 60 are being made, they’re selling for $300,000, and are only available to Ferrari owners. So strike one, two and a big strike three for me.

However if you’re a lucky SOB who is able to get his hands on the rare and expensive watch, then get this; it has a tourbillon and fusee chain, a central bridge made in carbon fiber, that tells the time on rotating, vertically aligned barrels. Which is also really cool.

Cool Eyewear

There’s always been a stigma about glasses, thanks to the geek moniker and “four eyes” insults that began when glasses were, let’s face it, unflattering to say the least.

But things have changed in the past decade or so, as glasses have become more of a fashion statement, and therefore cool. Even reading  glasses can be cool. As an example look at  the  PO3007V 24 by Persol. Look cool, professional and smart, even if you’re not.
